Position Title: Project Coordinator (Integration)

Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. In Greece, IOM is focusing on responding to the Mediterranean migrant’s crisis, in support of the Greek Government and in cooperation with all other agencies involved. IOM currently implements interventions within the areas of emergency, preparedness and response, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, healthcare and psychosocial assistance, assisted voluntary return of migrants, migration and development, resettlement and repatriation, family reunification, counter human trafficking, assistance to vulnerable migrants.

Context:

In the framework of the emergency situation regarding the migrants, asylum seekers and refugees across Greece, IOM Greece is establishing a pool of candidates interested to join the organisation.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator and the Area Coordinators, the main duties of the Project Coordinator (Integration) will be:
• Supervise the implementation of the activities related to Integration Monitoring and the Sensitization of the Host Community, alongside the outreach to potential employers;
• Provide guidance and instructions to the Integration Project Assistants and Municipality Focal Points;
• Provide advice to the Area Coordinator on host community sensitization matters;
• Liaise with IOM staff, including the management, Procurement, Finance and Media and Communication staff on the implementation of the integration monitoring and sensitization activities; • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

University degree and/or higher in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.

Experience

• Experience in liaising with government structures/authorities as well as National and International Organizations will be essential;
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point presentation);
• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from different multi ethnic and racial backgrounds is essential;
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with emphasis on ability to communicate and relate to a variety of stakeholders;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Strong teamwork, ability to work under supervision;
• Knowledge in preparation of statistical charts, tables and reports;
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and keep deadlines;
• Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles.

Languages

Fluency in Greek and English is required.

Other

1. The position is subject to funding confirmation.
2. Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment and verification of residency, visa and authorizations by the concerned Government, where applicable.
3. Appointment will be subject to the provision of the relevant to the position degree(s), professional licenses and/or criminal record certificate.
